THE NATIONAL TEAM OF UZBEKISTAN WON 13 MEDALS AT THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

      The men's and women's belt wrestling teams of Uzbekistan under the leadership of Ravshan Dastirov, chairman of the Chirchik city Council of the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Adolat", deputy of the Chirchik city Kengash, vice-president of the Asian Belt Wrestling Federation (IBWA Asian Belt Wrestling), took a worthy part in the world belt wrestling championship, held in Kazan.

     At the World Championships, which started on December 11, men competed in freestyle and classic belt wrestling in 8 weight categories, and women in 5 weight categories. We are proud that, among the best athletes from 35 countries, our wrestlers won 3 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals, took second place in the team competition and became one of the strongest.

     In the weight category of 57 kg among athletes in freestyle belt wrestling Oybekzhon Khamidov (Namangan), in the weight category 68 kg Oybek Sultanov (Andijan), in the weight category 52 kg Farangiz Abdunabieva (Syrdarya) defeated all her rivals and won gold medals.

      Silver medals were won by Khusniddin Ruziev (Andijan) in 82 kg, Azamjon Anvarjonov (Andijan) in 100 kg, Sherzod Rakhimov (Fergana) in +100 kg, Manzuraoi Muydinova (Fergana) in 58 kg. Murodzhon Rakhimov (Khorezm) in 62 kg.

      Madina Akramova (Andijan) in the weight category of 52 kg, Zemfira Azatova (Karakalpakstan) in the weight category 66 kg, Anife Kurceitova (Andijan) in the weight category +76 kg took third place and won bronze medals.

     In the classical direction of belt wrestling, Khusanboy Nosirov (Andijan) took third place in the 62 kg weight category and in the 100 kg weight category. Zailobiddin Artikov took second place and won a silver medal.

     After the end of the World Championship, an award ceremony took place. Winners and awardees were awarded medals, diplomas, cups and souvenirs.
