A BIOGRAPHY

OF THE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN

FROM THE SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY "ADOLAT"

Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna was born on November 9, 1958, in Fergana district of Fergana region in an educated family. Nationality – Uzbek. Mrs. Makhmudova received higher education. In 1983 she graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Tashkent State University.

She began her career in 1976 as a Secretary in Fergana Regional Court. In 1979-1983 she worked as a notary of the State Notary Office No.1 in Fergana, in 1983-1987 as Deputy Head of the Justice Department of Fergana region, in 1987-1990 as Instructor of the Party Committee of Fergana region, in 1990-1999 – as First Deputy Head of Justice Department of Fergana region, in 1999-2001 as a judge of Fergana Regional Court, in 2001-2004 as the Chairman of the Court of Fergana, in 2004-2008 as a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2008-2013 as the Chairman of the Court of Fergana region, in 2013 -2017 as a lecturer at Fergana Law College, in 2017-2020 as the Head of the People’s Reception Office of Fergana region.

Since January 2020, she has been the Chairman of the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis for Science, Education and Healthcare. From July 13, 2020, to the present, she has been the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Chairman of the Judicial Collegium for Administrative Cases.

Mrs. Makhmudova has been active in the process of reforming the judicial system, ensuring the independence of the courts. She is also the author of decisions of several plenums of the Supreme Court on easing criminal penalties and ensuring fairness in sentencing. She has carried out much work to protect women’s rights and improve legislation in this area, developing administrative courts and replenishing the judicial corps with qualified specialists.

More than 140 scientific and popular articles by Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna have been published. She is the author of 10 methodological manuals for judges.

In 2020, she was awarded the “Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun” (For Selfless Service) Order. Mrs. Makhmudova is a judge of the first qualification category and an experienced criminal and administrative law specialist.

Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna is married and has two children. Husband - T. Makhmudov is a pensioner.
