Uzbekistan, Malaysia universities sign a Cooperation Agreement

A Memorandum of Understanding and a Cooperation Agreement have been signed between Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh and Lincoln University College of Malaysia.

The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Izimbet Turdimambetov from the Uzbek side and the Founder, Vice-Chancellor and President of Lincoln University College Dr. Amiya Bhaumik.

The Memorandum provides for cooperation in the introduction of academic programs of double diplomas, the organization of advanced training courses for teaching staff, student exchange, conferences and workshops, joint researches, as well as the publication of scientific articles and works.

It was noted that the Government of Uzbekistan focuses on training qualified personnel with knowledge of foreign languages, including for the needs of the tourism industry, which has great growth potential.

Following the event, agreements were also reached to continue negotiations at the expert level to discuss further steps and mechanisms for implementing the first joint program.
