Tashkent region and Hatay province develop economic cooperation

Hokim of Tashkent region Davron Khidoyatov has met with a delegation led by the Mayor of Hatay Province Lutfi Savaş.

Opportunities and prospects for cooperation in the metallurgical industry, trade, agriculture and other production areas were discussed at the meeting.

The Chairman of Iskenderun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, representing more than 7 thousand Hatay entrepreneurs, also arrived in Uzbekistan. Representatives of the special industrial zone of the city of Antakya are staying in Tashkent region to establish cooperation. Several Turkish entrepreneurs are participating in B2B meetings.

Mr. Davron Khidoyatov suggested opening a branch of the industrial zone of Hatay province in Tashkent region and organize close interaction between businesspeople of the two countries. Guests from Turkey highly appreciated this initiative.

“We arrived in Tashkent region not as tourists, but to study the experience of the region and establish cooperation”, says the Mayor of Turkey’s Hatay Province Lutfi Savaş. – Our entrepreneurs are interested in implementing new promising projects together with their Uzbek colleagues. At the meeting, we comprehensively discussed the work that needs to be carried out in this direction and were very pleased with the attention that is paid here to our proposals.

The meetings with Turkish partners are aimed at establishing close mutually beneficial cooperation, widely promoting the experience of the development of the two regions and organizing new production sectors.

Following the meeting, a corresponding memorandum was signed to develop economic cooperation between the two countries and regions.
