Submission of documents for registration of presidential candidates

Uzbekistan is actively preparing for the early elections of the President, which will be held on July 9 this year.
According to the Election Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Election Commission must register a candidate for President of Uzbekistan. To do this, the leader of a political party must apply to the Central Election Commission for registration of a candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Observing the requirements and deadlines determined by the Election Code and the Calendar Plan for holding early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, approved by the decision of the Central Election Commission on May 31, the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Adolat” and the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan appealed to the Central Election Commission with an application for registration of candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from these parties and submitted documents specified by law.
Decisions of the supreme bodies of these political parties on the nomination of candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, minutes of meetings, statements of the consent of candidates to run for the post of head of state, signature sheets in support of candidates for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan were presented.
Representatives of both parties were given certificates indicating the date and time of receipt of documents by the Central Election Commission.
